I haven’t posted for so long I have to put something up. Since Christmas i haven’t done hardly any crochet. This is not usual for me, but since i am in this kind of spot I will put up a little edging that is a favorite of mine. It is a Coats pattern and is re-printed here with permission.

Popcorn Fan Edging

Width of Edging: Size 10 Thread, Size 7 [1.5 mm] Hook = 1 1/2";
Size 20 Thread, Size 10 [1.15 mm] Hook = 1";
Size 30 Thread, Size 12 [1.00 mm] Hook = 3/4".

Starting at narrow edge, ch 8. Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook, ch 2, skip next 2 ch, dc in next ch, 4 dc in next ch; turn. Row 2: Ch 5, skip first dc, [dc in next dc, ch 2] twice, dc in next 2 dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, dc in top of ch-3; turn. Row 3: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next 2 dc, * ch 1; 5 dc in next ch-2 sp, remove hook from lp and insert from the front into first of last 5 dc, draw lp through —popcorn made; ch 1, dc in next dc; rep from * once more; ch 1, popcorn in next sp, ch 1, dc in 3rd ch of ch-5; turn. Row 4: Sc in first ch-1 sp, [ch 3, sc in next ch-1 sp] 5 times, sl st in next dc, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, dc in top of ch-3; turn. Row 5: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, 5 dc in top of ch-3, sl st in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in next ch-3 sp; turn. Row 6: Ch 2, skip first dc, [dc in next dc, ch 2] 3 times, dc in next 2 dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, dc in top of ch-3; turn. Row 7: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next 2 dc, [ch 1, bobble in next sp, ch 1, dc in next dc] 3 times, ch 1, bobble in next sp, ch 1, dc in next sc of Row 5; turn. Row 8: Sc in first ch-1 sp,[ch 3, sc in next ch-1 sp] 7 times, sl st in next dc **, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, dc in top of ch-3; turn. Rep Rows 5-8 for desired length, end Row 8 at **. Fasten off.
